Mission Statement

The idea for Union Mills Community Closet was born from a small town Christmas drive. When we decided to help local families with Christmas gifts in light of a particularly hard financial year we had no idea the number of people right here in our community who could use a hand, or the generosity of our little corner of the country. We are so proud of the impact that the community made through our 'Union Mills Community Christmas' program and we wanted to facilitate a way for our community members to keep lifting each other up throughout the year. 

It is our intent for Union Mills Community Closet to host the 'Community Christmas' event every year to help local families. In addition to our Christmas event we are striving to help families throughout the year with felt needs. Ultimately Union Mills Community Closet is about Community. This is a way that members of our community can come together and lift each other up so that no one feels they have to struggle through this life alone. If you are in need of assistance reach out to our organization and we will see if we can facilitate help for you. For peace of mind, all requests are handled privately by our small board of directors and will never be shared outside of the board without your consent.
